Reaching Business Excellence
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce; and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Alpha Omega History
With the advent of the splendid expansion of the downtown school in opening its new magnificent building, Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity, inspired by the spirit of the move, has brought to DePaul a National Fraternity of the highest caliber. The Deltasigs are soon to be installed as Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi.
Seven Years Progress
Delta Sigma Pi has been one of the outstanding Greek letter organizations of the downtown school for the past seven years. It was the first Greek letter society in the Commerce school having been founded in 1921 by five enterprising students in the evening school. From this humble beginning Delta Sigma Pi has enjoyed yearly growth and prosperity assuming many cherished traditions. It numbers amoung its members men quite prominent in the student life in the University as a whole, as well as class officers and Commerce Club officers. It’s social affairs are among the outstanding functions of the school calendar.
Prominent Fraternity
The international Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi is one of the two foremost Commerce Fraternities in the country. There are forty-seven chapters in the leading colleges of the United States and Canada, which boast a membership of approximately fifty-one hundred men, many of whom are prominent in business.
This movement toward nationalization is Delta Sigma Pi’s gesture of expansion to keep with the growth of a greater and finer DePaul University.
